Dating from the 1790s, this rare English, Old Sheffield plate (silver and copper) salver tray sits on four shell feet. Note the crest and monogram. A salver was historically used by domestic staff to carry and serve drinks, to carry glasses, dishes and cutlery, as well as presenting letters to a master.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
